Grace Luella Williamson

PEKIN -- Grace Luella Williamson, 96, of 444 S. Parkway Drive, Apt. 802, died at 3:41 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 17, 1999, at Pekin Hospital.

Born July 29, 1903, in Pekin to Henry Harrison and Mattie Dyer Seelye, she married Henry Wilbourn Williamson on Nov. 5, 1921, in Pekin. He died March 24, 1976, in Pekin.

She also was preceded in death by one son, Wilbourn A. Williamson on Feb. 5, 1994, in Lake Zurich, five grandchildren, five brothers and one sister.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Russell (Mary) Gearen of Pekin and Joyce Starkweather of Plano, Texas; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.

An employee of American Distilling Co. for 29 years, she worked as a line worker and a table lady in the bottling department, retiring Dec. 1, 1966. She was a member of the American Distilling Women's Club.

She was a member of Celestial City Chapter 333 Order of Eastern Star and Victoria Shrine 83. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Pekin, its United Methodist Women and the Esther Circle.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin chapel. The Revs. Terry Edele and Judy Doyle will officiate. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens.
