Gertrude Grace Wilson

Gertrude Grace ("Trudy") Seeley was born on April 11, 1926 to Dr. Milton and Julia Seeley in Lodi California. Trudy attended Lodi High School, and received a B.A. in English from San Jose State College. Trudy married Joseph Wilson, a union that lasted 62 years until Joe's death this year on New Year's day. They had five children. Trudy worked as a teacher for 22 years, primarily at Tracy High School. After Trudy retired she spent time traveling, reading, gardening and attending the Ashland Shakespeare Festival. She enjoyed a trip to Siberia and two trips to Europe. Later, she and Joe spent many summers in Alaska, on the Kenai River.

Trudy is survived by her four daughters: Cecilia Lewis (Alexander) of Lafayette, CA; Pamela Lundeen (Steve) of Fairbanks, AK, Mary (MJ) Scott (Jim) of Potter Valley CA; and Shelley Kneip (Pat) of Port Orchard, WA. Additionally, she is survived by grandchildren Allison and Sander Lewis, Fallon Wilson and Dove Cresswell, and a great-granddaughter, Kennedy Wilson. Trudy is survived by her sister Marianne Furhman, her brother Jim Seeley and her brother-in-law, Roy Wilson. She was predeceased by husband, Joe, her son, Allen Wilson, and her sister Marguerite Seeley.

Services will be held at St. Bernard's Catholic Church in Tracy at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, July 9, 2010. Memorials can be made to Hospice of San Joaquin County, 3888 Pacific Ave. Stockton CA 95204 or to the charity of your choice.
