Mildred June “Millie” Seley

Mildred June “Millie” Seley, 75, of Topeka, Kan., died March 19, 2006, at a Topeka hospital. She was born on Nov. 10, 1930, in Kiowa, Kan., the daughter of Jess and Edna Swartz Hesler.

She graduated from Cimarron High School in 1948. She married Jon F. Seley on June 13, 1948. She moved to Topeka in 1965. Millie was employed by Kansas Power and Light Company for 20 years before retiring in 1988. After retiring, she and her husband moved to Estes Park where she resided for nine years before returning to Topeka.

Millie was a loving person. Her family and friends meant the world to her. She was a big NASCAR and NHRA fan. She loved to travel with her husband.

Survivors include her husband Jon; daughters Cliffie June Wilcox of Cimarron and LuAnne Koester of Estes Park; sons, Jon C. Seley and his wife Connie of Topeka and Joe Seley of Topeka; four grandchildren, Russ, Samantha, Sarah and Jordan; three great-grandchildren and two brothers, LeRoy Hesler of Great Bend, Kan., and Carl Hesler of Wichita, Kan.

Cremation has taken place. Private interment will take place at a later date.
