Fred Horace Sealey

Fred Horace Sealey, 73, of 78 Dix Creek # 2, went to be with his Lord Thursday, Feb. 9, 2006, at the John F. Keever Jr. Solace Center following a period of declining health.

Mr. Sealey was a lifelong resident of Buncombe County. He retired in 1996 following 15 years of service from Electric Supply Company where, at the time of his retirement, he was manager of the Electronics department. He was a member of Corinth Baptist Church, was an avid Country and Gospel guitar player and singer throughout W.N.C. and had served as vice president of the Baptist Men's Association for three years.

He was the son of the late William Henry and Nannie Israel Sealey.

Surviving are his wife of 55 years, Lou Ann Deweese Sealey of the home; son, Freddie Alvin Sealey and wife, Michelle, of Fallon, Nev.; daughter, Martha Anne Treankler and husband, Glen, of Marion, Iowa; seven grandchildren, Matthew, Shawanna, Timothy, Cheryl, David Joshua and Kristopher; great-grandchildren, Samantha Jo and Alexia; sister, Sarah Byas.

The funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home with Pastor Ricky Townsend and the Rev. Cecil Hopps officiating. Burial will be in Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
