Big Timber, MT

On August 20, 2008, Isaiah Lee Payton-Seeley, age 22, of Big Timber, MT, suddenly left this earth to find everlasting peace and comfort in the arms of Jesus.

Isaiah was born in Urbana, NY. He was raised in Campbell, NY until he moved to Big Timber with his parents and brother, Gus, in 2002.

He was home-schooled and had obtained his GED. He then went on to attend the Bartending Academy in Missoula, MT. He went on to further his education by moving to Gainesville, FL, where he attended the Florida School of Massage. While attending school there, he met the love of his short life, Larkin Novak. Upon graduation, Isaiah and Larkin moved to Los Angeles, CA.

Isaiah was proud that since he was 16, he had always kept a job. He had worked for McDonalds in Corning, NY, Pioneer Pizza, The Grand Hotel and Restaurant and Lucky Lil’s Casino in Big Timber, MT. While in Florida, he had worked as a landscaper and at several restaurants to help put himself through school. In California, he worked as a paid audience participant and also worked at Wally’s, Staples, and Blockbuster Videos while he tried to get his massage business up and going. He gave massages through the Zen Zone at Universal Studios, where he was very proud that he had provided massage services for a Saudi Arabian Prince and many others of notoriety.

Isaiah had moved back to Big Timber, MT in February, when work became scarce in California, due to the Writer’s strike. He had recently been providing massage services at the Big Timber Water Slides, where he worked with his brother, Gus.

Isaiah was a young man with many accomplishments and goals. He kept lists of both. He would want the folks that loved him to know that he visited Jamaica and the Bob Marley plantation; watched buffalo headbutt each other at Yellowstone National Park; camped at the Great Camp in the Adirondacks with Gus, Erik, dad and mom; visited the Badlands of South Dakota; visited the Mormon Tabernacle; toured the submarine the USS COD; visited the Rock-n-Roll Hall of Fame; visited the Museum of the Rockies; attempted to get his PDIF Diving Certification; completed a sweat lodge ceremony with a Lakota Indian Chief; gone on a whale watch; visited the LA Zoo; had been surfing in Malibu; attended many Pow Wows, Rendezvous, and Reenactments; had mined sapphires and garnets in Montana; swam in the Yellowstone River; panned for gold in the Boulder River; had been to performances by B.B. King, Afroman, George Carlin, Charlie Daniels and Rascal Flatts, among others; had met Dog the Bounty Hunter, Paul Mooney, Michael Keaton, Isaiah Washington, and many other celebrities; had attended a wrestling cage match; met many of the players at the Buffalo Bill’s training camp; been able to go to the controversial Human body Exhibit while in Florida; able to visit the Salvadore Dali Museum; attended the American Custom Gunmaker's Show in Reno, NV; visited Disney World; only had 14 states not yet visited; attended a synagogue; donated blood; attended dinners cooked by Wolfgang Puck; done half time shows with the Harlem Globetrotters; and visited the Montana Grizzly Encounter.

He had goals that he still wished to accomplish: see the Redwoods; mine for turquoise in Nevada; eat at Roscoe’s Chicken; visit the San Diego Zoo; take Judo classes; travel to Belize; take Erik to LA; drive a Mercedes; and go to Mexico.
