LACONIA -- John Wesley "Jack" Cilley, 60, of 9 Shore Drive, died Oct. 3, 2007, in Brigham & Women's Hospital, Boston.

Jack was born in Melrose, Mass., the son of Barbara (Rowe) and Wesley Cilley, and was raised in Burlington, Vt. As a young adult he moved to New Hampshire, where he lived the rest of his life with his wife and children.

He served in the U.S. Coast Guard from 1966 to 1970, then married and went to school, becoming a civil engineer. He worked many years as assistant engineer for District Three, N.H. Department of Transportation.

The family includes his wife, Charlotte S. Cilley; four daughters, Kimberly, Lori, Julie and Jacquelyn Cilley; five grandchildren; two sisters, JoAnn and Laura; a brother, David and six nephews and six nieces.

SERVICES: There will be no calling hours.

A celebration of his life is Saturday, at 2 p.m., in the Congregational Church of Laconia, 18 Veterans Square, followed by a reception of fellowship and remembrance.

Memorial donations may be made to an organization of one's choice.

The Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 164 Pleasant St., Laconia, is in charge of arrangements.
