Absalom Seeley

The death of Absalom Seeley occurred yesterday afternoon at his home, 115 East Hudson Street, after an illness of two weeks’ duration. He was seventy-eight years of age and is survived by his wife and four children: Charles S., and John R., of this city, Mrs. Charles H. Davis of New York, and Mrs. R.T. Jones, of North Tonawanda; also a brother, Ebenezer of Brooklyn. The deceased came to this city from Orange County and has resided here for the past forty-four years, where he conducted the Seeley bottling works for a number of years past. Mr. and Mrs. Seeley celebrated their fiftieth wedding anniversary January 19 last. The funeral services will be held at 4 o’clock Saturday afternoon. Friends of the family are invited. The funeral will be private.
