BIG PRAIRIE -- Alice Angeline Seeley went home to be with the Lord on Oct. 8, 2012, at the age of 87. She was born Aug. 17, 1925, to Byron and Mary (Lind) Yoder. She married Walter Young in 1947 and had five children before his untimely death in 1957. She then married Donald Seeley in 1959 and had two more children, the marriage ended in 1965 and she remained on her own from then on.

She loved to sing, yodel, play the piano, guitar, her harmonica and even her accordion. She enjoyed airplane rides with her brother, playing cards and dice and most of all spending time with her family.

She will be sadly missed by her children, Linda (Young) Spears, Roger Young (Karen), Gloria "Jeannie" (Young) Ramey, Brenda (Young) Lucas (Buddy), Jackie (Young) Long (Jeff), Victor Seeley and Alice (Seeley) Stanford (Larry). She will also be forever missed by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild and many friends who were made to feel like family -- you all know who you are.

A celebration of her life will be held Sunday, Oct. 21, at Waite and Sons Funeral Home, Medina, between 1-3 p.m. A private memorial will be held next spring.

Preceding her in death are her parents, husbands and all of her siblings: Dorothy (Yoder) Simmons, Byron "Jim" Yoder, Helen (Yoder) Pernod and Marie (Yoder) Vandevere.
