Alvin Earle Seeley

A.E. Seeley, one of the original members of the "Lucky Seven" who brought the oil industry to Russell Co., died at his home here at 4:15 p.m. yesterday. He was 71, and had been in failing health for some time. Death was attributed to a heart ailment. Funeral services will be held Friday at the Congregational Church with the Rev. Hans Poppe and the Rev. Wm. H. Jenkin officiating. The body will lie in state at the Seeley home at 208 Kansas St. from 4-9 p.m. tomorrow. Burial will be in the Russell Cemetery. Deines Funeral Home in charge.

Survivors include the widow and three children: Myron S. Seeley of Topeka; Mrs. Ralph Racine of Melrose, MA; and Mrs. Harold Dumler of Russell; and 4 grandchildren: Myron S. Seeley, Jr.; Frances Racine; Earl David and Harold Seeley Dumler, of Russell.
