Publication Anna Mae (Bauman) Seeley, 90, died in Sioux Falls on Friday, March 6, 2015.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2015 at the Chester Area School at 10:00 AM.

Visitation will be held beginning at 3:00 PM on Friday, March 13, 2015 with family present from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at the Minnehaha Funeral Home in Dell Rapids.

Mae Bauman was born December 4, 1924 in Chester, SD to Frank and Edna (Capps) Bauman. After her parent’s divorce, she spent her childhood years with her grandparents on their farm north of town. She met her husband Bill at a Halloween hayride in 1940. They were married on May 25, 1941 in Pipestone, MN. Together with their sons Roger and Jack they farmed and operated agriculture businesses until 1963 when they moved to Orange, California. Together they managed an apartment complex, Mae drove school bus, and throughout the 70’s operated Fertilizer Hauling Inc. with Bill’s brother Merlin and their son, Jack. Upon retirement they moved to Yucca Valley and began traveling together visiting family and friends, collecting and playing cards. In January, Mae moved to an apartment at Dow Rummel Village in Sioux Falls.

Mae is survived by her son, Jack, Orange, CA and daughter in-law, Karen Seeley, Chester; grandchildren, Dawn (Mark) Aspaas, Sioux Falls, Julie (Mark) Steffen, Tea, Darin (Andrea) Seeley, Piedmont, Tony Seeley, Orange, CA and Wendy Rich, Norco, CA; 9 great-grandchildren, Liza, Andrew, Doug, Desirae, Mahli, Bryce, Christine, Mara, and Will; 7 great-great- grandchildren: Autumn, Mason, William, Colton, Daxton, Theodore, and Reece; her sisters, Elaine Baca, Vequita, NM, Bonnie Schroeder, Victorville, CA and Jean Braa, Quartzite, AZ and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband; brother, Bill Bauman; sister, Doris Schaefer; brother, Donald DeBuck; daughter in-law, Pat and her son, Roger, the day prior
