Barbara Seeley


PORT ORANGE, FL - Barbara Seeley, a long time Dutchess County resident died peacefully on Monday, June 24, 2013 at her home in Port Orange, Florida with family at her side.

Born May 25, 1935 in Beacon, NY, she was the daughter of Ralph Pendleton and Ruth Colgan Pendleton.

On March 16, 1963 she married Donald Seeley in Beacon, NY who survives her.

Barbara lived in Beacon, NY and Hopewell Junction for many years. She and Don recently moved to Port Orange, Florida.

Barbara was the proud owner of Barb's Deli in Beacon with Don. She was a bookkeeper with Brownell Motors in Fishkill prior to owning the deli and a bookkeeper with Antalek and Moore Insurance Agency in Beacon after selling the deli.

She is also survived by her daughters Annmarie McCollum and her husband, Kim from Milton, NY. Ruth Robillard and her husband, Peter, Maribeth McDowell and her husband Steve, Janet Morgan and her husband Mike, all from Beacon, NY. Karen Perry and her husband Brian from Lewisville, Texas. Her son Donald Seeley from Hopewell Jct, NY. Her sister Janet Pomarico and her husband Robert from Waco Texas. Twelve grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her granddaughter, Jonelle Marie McCollum in 2010.

A gathering to celebrate Barbara's life will be held at noon on Saturday, June 29 at St. Rocco's Society, 26 S Chestnut St, Beacon, NY.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Halifax Health Hospice of Volusia/Flaglar, 3800 Woodbriar Trail, Port Orange Florida, 32127, who cared for and comforted her in her final days.
