Funeral Services Here And at Grand Detour For Carrie P. Seeley

Funeral services for Mrs. Carrie Portner Seeley, 42, rural route 2, Rockton, who was killed instantly at 6 p.m. Monday when struck by an automobile on North Main street road a mile and a half north of the county farm, will be held at 12:30 p.m. Thursday at McAllister-Julian funeral home, 304 North 5th street, and at 2:30 p.m. at the Grand Detour Christian church. Burial will be in Grand Detour cemetery.

Mrs. Seeley was killed as she stood on the highway watching her son, Maynard, attach a chain to a stalled automobile. Forrest Conklin, 23, who resides on state highway 75 between Rockton and Harrison, was the driver of the car which struck Mrs. Seeley.
