Darlene Brown McGaugh Seeley spent the last days of her life at home surrounded by her friends and family. Born on June 6, 1937, she passed away on September 4, 2013, at the age of 76, after battling ovarian cancer. As a devoted wife to Leland Seeley, a loving mother to Steven, Alan (1963-1998), David, and Jennifer McGaugh, and grandmother of Angela, Scotty, Allison McGaugh, and Sophia and Grace Giddens; she is remembered as an active member of the Pensacola community and was a well renowned spitfire.

Darlene grew up in Baltimore, Maryland. She attended college in North Carolina and received her master's degree in social work from the University of Wisconsin. She spent over twenty years giving to others in the profession she loved.

After marrying Leland Seeley, she moved to Gulf Breeze, Florida, and enjoyed art classes, traveling, and trips to the beach. However, Darlene's favorite hobby was making friends and meeting new people. Darlene's capacity for love is a trait we will all remember her by, and we will all miss her dearly.

Visitation will be from 5-7 P.M. on Friday, September 13th at Rose Lawn Funeral Home, 2942 Gulf Breeze Pkwy. Gulf Breeze, Florida 32563. Private burial will be in Rose Lawn Cemetery.

The Memorial Service will be at 10:30 A.M. on Saturday, September 14th at Gulf Breeze United Methodist Church, 75 Fairpoint Drive, Gulf Breeze, Florida 33563, with a reception to follow in the music suite.

Arrangements entrusted to Rose Lawn Funeral Home of Gulf Breeze.
