Mrs. Doris R. Seeley, 57, of Grand Valley, RD 1, died at 9:20 p.m. Tuesday, April 14, 1992, at the Northwest Medical Center (Oil City Campus) following a lengthy illness.

She was born on Feb. 18, 1935m in Titusville, a daughter of the late Carl and Lena Perrett Gilson. Mrs. Seeley was married to Burton J. Seeley Jr., on Jan. 17, 1959, in Centerville. She had attended the Spartansburg School.

Mrs. Seeley had been employed by the Titusville School District in the cafeteria from 1972 until 1981 when she retired due to ill health.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughters, Mrs. Chris (Dianna) Sparks of Oil City; four brothers, Tom Gilson of Erie, Richard Gilson of Titusville, RD 2, Mark Gilson of Toledo, O., and Kenneth Gilson of Titusville; six sisters, Mrs. Harry (Mildred) Kinney of Titusville, RD 2, Mrs. Dora Reynolds and Mrs. Edward (Anna) Gesin of Titusville, Shirley Ross of Erie, Mrs. Edna Irwin of Toledo, O., and Mrs. David (Martha) Schwartz) of Titusville, RD 1; five grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, a son, Ted A. Seeley, and two brothers, Warren James Gilson and Virgil Gilson, died previously.

Friends may call at the Gordon G. Garrett Funeral Home today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and attend the funeral service there Friday at 2 p.m. with Rev. Dillon Vroman, pastor of the Franklin Free Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will be in Jerusalem Corners Cemetery, Oil Creek Township, Venango County.

The family has said memorial contributions may be made to the Dialysis Unit, c/o Northwest Medical Center, Oil City Campus, E. Bissell Ave., Oil City, Pa. 16301.

The funeral service for Mrs. Doris R. Seeley was conducted at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home on Friday, April 17, 1992 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Dillon Vroman, pastor of the Franklin Free Methodist Church, officiating. Interment was in Jerusalem Corners Cemetery.

Jeff Gesin of McGuire Air Force Base, N.J.; Mrs. Ida Berlin, Mrs. June Woods, Michael Flinchbaugh and Chris Fry of Franklin; Mr. and Mrs. William Millard and Mr. and Mrs. Harold Seeley of Townville; Mr. and Mrs. Robert Seeley Jr. of Pleasantville; Mrs. Virginia Hubert of Centerville; and Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Seeley of Sunville.

There was also an attendance of friends of Titusville and surrounding communities.
