ORRINGTON - Edith M. Seeley, 95, wife of the late Linwood Seeley, died Nov. 13, 2012 at a Bangor health care center. She was born Jan. 26, 1917, in Holden, the daughter of Roswell and Alma (Houston) Copeland.

Edith was a dedicated and devoted wife, mother and grandmother who always worked very hard for her family.

She is survived by five children, Ray Seeley and his wife, Anne, of Holden, Lindsey Seeley of Orrington, Joyce Whitehead and her husband, John, of California, Jim Seeley and his wife, Barbara, of Howland, Lloyd Seeley and his wife, Theresa, of North Carolina; daughter-in-law, Carolyn Seeley of Holden; 16 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren; one brother, David Copeland of California; one sister, Barbara Johnson of Dedham; nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, Chester; and by a daughter-in-law, Claire Seeley; three brothers and three sisters, Arthur, Guy and Johnny Copeland, Sis Ireland, Dorothy Jellison and Cora Johnson. Edith's family gratefully thanks her dear friends and neighbors, Dick and Linda Merrill and especially thanks her granddaughter, RaeAnn.
