VIOLA - Gordon L. Seeley, passed away at Milford Center on Wednesday, Aug., 29, 2012. He was born in Walton, N.Y. on Nov. 21, 1930, the son of Ralph S. Seely and Elsie B. (Howard) Seely; and the brother of Reginald N. Seely. He and Willo J. (Vanloan), also of Walton, married on Dec., 23, 1953.

Gordon was a longtime resident of Kent County. In 1957, after serving four years in the USAF, he moved from Washington State to Delaware, where he was employed by Air Mod as a C-124 aircraft engine supervisor. He later worked for the US Post Office, in Dover, retiring from there in 1989. He attended the Milford Church of the Nazarene, and was a member of both the 62nd Troop Carrier\Airlift Wing Assoc., and the Sampson AFB Veterans Assoc. He and his surviving wife of 58 years, loved to travel with Dawson Tours of Camden, every chance they could. Yard work and maintenance around his property was also something he greatly enjoyed.

In addition to Willo Seeley, Gordon is survived by one son, Marc K. Seeley, Sr. (Springfield, Va.); daughter-in-law, Judy K. Seeley (New Cumberland, Pa.); one grandson, Marc Seeley, Jr. (New Cumberland, Pa.); one granddaughter, Tara L. Seeley (Lemoyne, Pa.); and two great-grandchildren, Eowyn M. Seeley and Abram T. Furjanic (Lemoyne, Pa.).

Funeral Service will be held at 11:30 a.m., Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2012, at the Melvin Funeral Home, 15522 South DuPont Hwy., Harrington, with visitation one hour prior. Interment will be in the Delaware Veterans Cemetery, Bear, DE. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Milford Church of the Nazarene, 11 NW Salevan PL., Milford, DE 19963.
