Harold E. Seeley, 53, of Townville, RD 1, died at 9:25 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 9, 1993, at Meadville Medical Center, Liberty Street. He was a patient there for the past week.

Mr. Seeley was born in Titusville on Nov. 26, 1939, a son of the late Burton R. and Blanche Wright Seeley. He attended Titusville schools. He was married to the - former Lois Ralston on Jan.18, 1963, in the Diamond United Methodist Church.

Mr. Seeley was self-employed as a woodcutter for the past twenty years. He previously was employed at the Agway of Titusville for nine years.

He was a member of the Diamond United Methodist Church, a member of the Methodist Men; and an avid hunter and fisherman. He was also Republican Committeeman for Steuben Township for several terms.

He is survived by his wife; one son, Brady E. Seeley of Townville, RD 1; two daughters, Mrs. Bruce (Melinda) Hanold of Guys Mills, RD 1, and Mrs. Brian (Ramona) Mangel of Titusville, RD 2; two grandchildren, Kayla Hanold and B.J. Hanold, both of Guys Mills, RD 1; the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. Arthur (Marion) Paden of Grand Valley, Mrs. Fred (Daisey) Jones of Titusville, RD 2. Mrs. Margaret Wakefield of Sugar Grove, Burton Seeley Jr. and Jack Seeley, both of Grand Valley; RD 1, Mrs. Phyllis Keyes of Titusville, Robert Seeley of Pleasantville, Mrs. Alfred (Nina) Mitchell of Spartansburg, Richard Seeley of Titusville, RD 2; Mrs. Michael (Ann) Cartney of Titusville. Mrs. Joseph (Charlotte) Gustafson and Mrs. Robert (Alta) Webber, both of Meadville; Mrs. Martin (Virginia) Hubert of Centerville; Donald Seeley of Huntingdon, Mrs. Thelma Postalewait and Miss Marilyn Seeley. both of Erie; Mrs. Steven (Shirley) Beers of Titusville, Mrs. Harry (Gloria) Grow of Corry; Herbert Seeley of Cooperstown, RD 1, and Mrs. Richard (Alice) Jones of Titusville, numerous nieces and nephews; and his mother-in-law, Mrs. Brady (Mary) Ralston of Centerville, RD 4.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Mrs. Stella Millard.

Friends may call at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Further visitation will be at the Diamond United Methodist Church Friday from 11 a.m. until noon, at which time the funeral service will be conducted by Rev. Gerald Miller, pastor of the church. Internment will be in the Chapmanville Cemetery.

The family has said. Memorial contributions may be made to the Crawford County Chapter of the American Cancer Society, 816 N. Main St., Meadville. Pa. 16335 or to the charity of one's choice.

The funeral service for Harold E. Seeley was conducted at the Diamond United Methodist Church on Friday, Feb. 12, 1993, at noon with Rev. Gerald Miller, pastor, officiating. Pianist was Howard Strawbridge.

Interment was in the Chapmanville Cemetery with the following serving as pallbearers: Don Thompson Sr., Don Thompson Jr., Dick Seeley, Ted Wakefield, Jim Seeley, John Seeley, Mark Seeley and Kenny Seeley. Honorary pallbearers were Ed Hasbrouck and Bill Hunter.
