Miss Helen Seeley
Miss Helen E. Seeley, 97, of 208 N. School, Normal, died at 2:10 a.m. Thursday at Americana Nursing Center, where she had been living the past few weeks.
Miss Seeley was a retired teacher for the Unit 5 School District.
Her funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Stubblefield Funeral Home, the Rev. Robert Anderson officiating. Burial will be in Park Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be an hour before the service.
Miss Seeley was born Oct. 8, 1877, in Littleton, a daughter of Lewis C. and Maria Cynthia Davis Seeley.
Surviving is a sister, Mrs. Ada Barton, 504 Broadway, Normal.
Miss Seeley was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Normal; Delta Kappa Gamma Society, Beta Chapter; the Idlers Club; Normal Women’s Improvement League; Bloomington-Normal Garden Club; McLean County Home Bureau; McLean County Retired Teachers Association; and the Women’s Christian Temperance Union. She graduated from Illinois State Normal University in 1904.
Memorials may be made to the church or the Normal Public Library.
