Horace D. Seeley

Horace D. Seeley was born in 1833, in Tioga, Tioga County, Penn. Went to New York in his boyhood days, and attended school at Kenyon College, now Alfred University. He joined the I.O.O.F. at Buffalo, N.Y., and has been a member for over forty years.

He came to Missouri in 1855, and settled at St. Joseph. Moved to Kansas in 1870, where he resided until his death, August 20, 1897.

He was married to Miss Elizabeth Conaway, in 1855, who died in 1887, leaving him a family of four boys and six girls, all of whom were present at his funeral but one who could not be reach by telegraph.
