SEELEY, Irene M.

Age 86 of 29 Clark Street, Painted Post, Thursday, August 22, 1996 at Arnot-Ogden Medical Center, Elmira. She was born September 19, 1909 in Antrim, PA. the daughter of Charles and Mable Clark McConnell. She married Lester Seeley on April 3, 1929 in Painted Post. He predeceased her on January 19, 1987. Irene is a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Corning and served over fifty years as the secretary of the Sunday School. She was also a member of the Rebecca’s Lodge and was retired from Corning, Inc. in 1971.

She is survived by three sisters and brothers-in-law; Mildred Thomas of Corning, Rosie and Charles Miller of Corning, Bertha and William Mull of Painted Post, several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at Carpenter’s Funeral Home, 14 E. Pulteney St. Saturday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Funeral Service will be held Sunday, August 25, 1996 at 2 pm at the funeral home with the Rev. Ronald C. Grossglass officiating. Burial and committal services will follow in Shumway Hill Cemetery in Wellsboro, PA. Those wishing may make memorial donations in Irene’s name to the First Assembly of God Church in Corning.
