Jessica Elizabeth Seeley

Jessica Elizabeth Seeley, born Jan. 12, 1992 in Martinsburg, shook off the bonds of this sorrowful world and was reunited with her loving God and Savior on May 4, 2013. She died unexpectedly at her home, leaving her family and friends heartbroken. Our comfort now comes in the firm knowledge that our sweet Jessie resides in absolute love, love that comes from the Father alone. Hold her close Lord Jesus, until that day that we are all once again reunited with you and all of our loved ones who have been translated into your glorious presence.

Jessie was full of compassion for those in life that were vulnerable and weak. She loved her many animals, her cats and her birds, and they adored her in return. In her nieces and nephew, she found joy and happiness. She was God's unique creation, with a heart big enough to love us all despite our faults. Mostly, Jessie was a lover of peace, which she endeavored everyday to sow in all of our hearts. In addition to all of this, Jessie loved music, whether she was playing her guitar or singing. It was a large part of her life and she wanted to share it with everyone she knew after her own father's heart.

Jessie is survived by her best friend and grandfather, Richard E. Seeley, who she adored and respected with every fiber of her being. In addition, she is survived by her father, James W. "Jamie" Seeley; her mother and step father, Kathryn A. and Ronald E. Davis; grandparents, Stephen H. and Phyllis Howell; sisters, Jennifer M. Seeley and Kristine R M Howell; brothers, J. Jeremiah Seeley and wife, Morgan, Jacob D. Seeley, Jonathan R. Seeley and wife, Jade and Joshua M. Seeley. She is also survived by her nieces and nephew, Cullen A "Cubbie" and Madalynn M."Mimi" Ours, and Ariana R. "Duckie" Seeley, to all of which she was an attentive, fun loving aunt. She also leaves behind numerous aunts, uncles and cousins, including Richard and Candy Seeley and daughters, Jacqueline and Alexis, Marjorie and Michael Moulton and children, Teresa, Elizabeth, Cynthia, and Luke, Stephen H. Howell, and Daniel C. Howell. Family friends include Michelle Rand, Daniel Blackstone, and Bridgette Kendall. There was also one special friend and confidant in Jessie's life, JB Brazwell, who she loved with all her heart.

Jessie was preceded in death by her grandmother, Joan M. Seeley; and her uncle, David E. Seeley.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 11 at the Brown Funeral Home South Berkeley Chapel in Inwood with the Rev. Chuck Quigley of St. Leo's and Pastor Terry Crawford of Covenant Church officiating. Interment will be in Rosedale Cemetery.

Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, May 10 at the funeral chapel in Inwood.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to the Berkeley County Humane Society in Jessie's name: Berkeley County Humane Society, 554 Charles Town Road, Martinsburg, WV 25405.
