John E. Seeley


NEW CONCORD -- John E. Seeley, 74, of New Concord, died 4:30 p.m. Friday (Oct. 3, 2008) at Autumn Health Care, Zanesville. He was born Nov. 29, 1933, in Los Angeles, Calif., son of the late Lester and Juanita English Seeley. Mr. Seeley retired from the heating and air conditioning business, first with Nicholson Refrigeration, Zanesville, later with Ables Electric, Cambridge. He was a member of East Union Presbyterian Church. He served in the U.S. Navy and later in the U.S. Army in the Korean War. He enjoyed playing golf with a good friend, Dick Morrow. He was preceded in death by his son, Todd Seeley. He leaves his wife of 48 years, Cathy (Godby) Seeley; a son, Mark (Cathy) Seeley of New Concord; daughters, Brenda Anderson of Brookshire, Texas, and Heidi (Richard) Kalah of Richmond, Texas; six grandchildren; a brother, Jerry (Donna) Seeley of Westerville; and a sister, Betty Lou Seeley of Columbus. Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday at Mock-Miller Funeral Home, 63 W. Main St., New Concord, where services will follow at 1 p.m. with Pastor Larry Jack officiating. Burial will be in the East Union Presbyterian Cemetery, Claysville. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation.
