JOHN M. SEELEY (1933 - 2014)

John M. Seeley, 80 of Westfield, passed away on Friday, Feb. 14, 2014, at Williamsport Medical Center.

Born Aug. 28, 1933, in Troupsburg, N.Y., he was the son of the late Hugh "Pete" and Lucy (Cady) Seeley.

He married Marilyn (McCullen) and was a former employee of the Westfield Tanning Company. He loved working in his garden and taking care of his lawn.

John is survived by his sons, Randy (Debbie) Seeley of Elkland, Terry (Rita) Seeley of Potterbrook, Henry (Bobby) Seeley of Potterbrook; his daughters, Connie (Dale) Hall of Clinton, N.Y., Bonnie (Lewis) Lampman of Ulysses, Beverly Trowbridge of Sabinsville, Dewey (Brody) Mesler of Potterbrook, Penny (Gaylord) Mertsock of Sabinsville; 27 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; brother, Raymond (Kay) Seeley of Troupsburg, N.Y.; sisters, Lois Crane of Osceola, Ruth (Bob) Kizer of Elkland, Kathy (Steve) Hartman of Woodhull, N.Y.; many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marilyn; a daughter, Patricia; two brothers, Harry and Louis and a son-in-law, Virgle Trowbridge.

Family will receive friends at Kenyon Funeral Home, 222 W. Main St., Westfield, on Tuesday, Feb. 18, from noon to 2 p.m. A funeral service will be held immediately following at 2 p.m., with the Rev. David Brelo officiating. Burial will be in the Riverview Cemetery, Potterbrook. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice.
