Kenneth M. Seeley, age 94, of Waseca, MN and formerly of Waterloo, died Friday, January 6, 2012 at his home.
He was born October 1, 1917 in Waterloo, the son of Harry B. and Ruth (Weldon) Seeley. Kenneth graduated from Waterloo East High School with the Class of 1935. He was united in marriage with Louise W. Reiners on February 7, 1942 in Lancaster, Missouri. She preceded him in death on March 17, 1995.
Kenneth worked for John Deere & Co. in Waterloo for 33 years, retiring on July 1, 1978. He was a former member of the Waterloo Moose Lodge. Kenneth and his wife enjoyed square dancing, RV camping with friends and traveled extensively, visiting all but 2 of the lower 48 states. He thoroughly enjoyed fishing with his grandchildren, as well as, bowling and golfing in league play for many years.
Survivors include his son, Larry L. (Judy) Seeley of Waseca, MN; 4 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and 3 great-great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; a daughter, Kathye Allen; a grandson, Anthony Seeley and a brother, Russell Seeley.
Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 10, 2012 at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, 1926 Sager Avenue, Waterloo, Iowa 50701 with inurnment in the Garden of Memories Cemetery. The family will greet friends after 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at the church.
