Lois S. Seeley Retired nurse, longtime High Bridge resident, 78 Lois S. Seeley, 78, of High Bridge, N.J., died Saturday, May 16, 2015, at home, surrounded by her family. There will be a gathering of friends and family on Wednesday, May 20, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home, 1761 Route 31, Clinton, N.J. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, May 21, at the funeral home. The interment will follow on Thursday, May 21, at Cherryville Mountain View Cemetery in Franklin Township, N.J.

Lois was born Aug. 17, 1936, in Brooklyn, N.Y. She was the daughter of the late Lawrence and the late Frieda (Holzberger) Hess. Lois resided in Newark, N.J., and South Plainfield, N.J., before settling in High Bridge 48 years ago. She retired from nursing at the Hunterdon Developmental Center in Union Township in 2002. She loved gardening, cooking, horses and dogs, especially her dog, Lana. Lois was a devoted and loving wife and mother. She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Lloyd Seeley; one daughter, Loran Lobdell of New Hope, Pa.; four sons, John Lobdell and his wife, Heather, of Pennsylvania, Thomas Lobdell of High Bridge, N.J., William Lobdell of Florida, Donald Seeley and his wife, Susan, of High Bridge, NJ; one brother, Larry Hess of Martinsville, N.J., and nine grandchildren.
