Muriel Lord Eastlack Seeley died in San Antonio, Texas January 2, 2015, at the age of 79. She was born in South Boston, Virginia on December 12, 1936 and married Col. Sam T. Seeley in 1956. She accompanied Sam on 22 assignments around the world over a 30-year career and was an amazing mother, raising two beautiful daughters while Sam was away in Vietnam and Korea. Known to all as Mimi, she was an avid reader and a gourmet cook, known for her world famous crab cakes. Mimi and Sam's retirement was full of wonderful cruises and adventures. She loved nothing more than spending the winter in Florida with Sam and friends and enjoyed long summers with her family at a beach house in Topsail Island, NC.

She is survived by her husband, Col. Sam T. Seeley, U.S. Army (Ret); two daughters, Margaret Seeley Ruffino (Steve Ruffino) Kathleen Seeley Stephens (Charles A. Stephens II) and 5 grandchildren Marilyn Burkholder, Sarah Burkholder, Maggie Stephens Gambrel (Robert Gambrel), Scott Stephens (Elizabeth Stephens), Seeley Stephens, and two great-granddaughters, Seeley Lucille Stephens and Caroline McGowan Gambrel. Services will be held January 5th at 2:00 pm at St. Thomas Episcopal Church, 1416 N Loop 1604 East, San Antonio, TX 78232. In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to your favorite charity
