Noel S. Seeley, 66, life-long resident of the Chapmanville community, died at 8:45 a.m. yesterday at the home of his brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Proper, also of Chapmanville. Death followed an illness of six years.

Mr. Seley (sic) was born on June 20, 1884, a son of the late Zadick and Jane Noel Seeley. He married Miss Flora Armstrong on Nov. 1, 1904. She died on April 1, 1950.

Mr. Seeley is the last of his family, there being only cousins left.

He was a successful farmer, retiring about six years ago. Two years ago he suffered a stroke and has been bedfast most of the time since.

Friends may call at the Williams funeral home at Chapmanville, where services will be conducted on Sunday at 2 p.m. Rev. J. L. Murray of the Chapmanville Methodist church will officiate and interment will be in the Chapmanville cemetery.

Services for Noel F. Seeley were held at the Williams funeral home at Chapmanville yesterday afternoon, Rev. J.L. Murray of the Chapmanville Methodist church officiating. Included in his service was the reading of the hymns, “The Old Rugged Cross” and “Beyond the Sunset.”

Interment was in the Chapmanville cemetery and the following were pall-bearers: Raymond, Richard, Clive and William Armstrong, Donald and Dale proper and Clifford and Russell Smith.
