Tooele, UT-Our wonderful Father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, Paul Watson Seeley passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 16, 2013 with his family by his side. He was 91 years old.

He is survived by his son, Fred L. Seeley, daughters, Pauline Lynne Jeffs and Lynette S. Spiker.

Paul was born on July 17, 1921, in Fountain Green, Utah, and was the second child of three born to Orange Lyman Seeley and Emma Watson Seeley. He graduated from Moroni High School in 1939 and attended Utah State. He married the love of his life, Elvera Petersen, on May 4, 1943 in the Salt Lake Temple. They enjoyed 9 days short of 67 years of making wonderful memories together.

While Attending Utah State, Pearl Harbor was bombed, war was declared, and he and his brother Karl joined the Army. They were both assigned to the Army Air Corp. Dad attended Officer Candidate School and rose to Captain in the 5th Air Corp of the US Army. He and his young bride were separated for over three years while he served in Australia and the Philippines.

Paul will be greatly missed by his posterity; Son, Fred and Sara Seeley and their son Paul Lyman and Cate Seeley; Daughter Pauline Lynne and Alan Jeffs and her sons Gregory Paul Cunningham (fiancée Karla Staker) and Brian Lee Cunningham; Daughter Lynette and Bill Spiker and their daughter Katie and John Fox and their son Dr. Wm. Ryan and Elizabeth Spiker. Elvera and Paul were blessed with 4 great-grandchildren; Madison Cunningham, Jonathan and Logan Fox, and Liam Spiker.

He loved his family, was a great neighbor and a true friend to many. All his children, grandchildren and even the older great-grandchildren share wonderful and everlasting memories of him. Even the youngest great-grandchild attended his 90th birthday party!

He is preceded in death by his amazing wife, Elvera, his loving brother Karl Seeley and sister Enid Martin, and many wonderful lifelong friends.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 25 at 11:00 a.m. at the Tooele 11th Ward, 180 South Coleman (600 West 200 South), Tooele. Friends and family may visit on Thursday, May 23, 6 to 8 p.m. and again on Saturday, May 25, at 9:30 a.m. at the Church prior to the service. Interment will be at the Tooele City Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the American Heart Association .
