Seeley, Jr. Mother of Rosemary Seeley Akin and her husband David of Yarmouth Port, and the late Joseph E. Seeley. Sister of Thadeus Lewis and his wife Barbara of Weymouth and the late Robert Lewis. Grandmother of Robert Akin and his wife Kathy of Plymouth, Danielle Akin Santoni and her husband Shaun of Denver, NC., and James Seeley of Methuen. Great Grandmother of Shannon and Tommy Akin and Joseph, Shaun, Presleigh and Marcus Santoni. Also survived by a daughter-in-law Barbara Seeley of Methuen and many nieces and nephews. PLYMOUTH - Rosemary J. (Lewis) Seeley, 83, died at her home at Pine Hills, Plymouth on February 3, 2012. She leaves her beloved husband of 63 years, Joseph E. Seeley, Jr.

Born in Medford and raised in Dorchester, she was a 42-year resident of Wakefield. She attended Massachusetts School of Art and was a graduate of Northeastern University. She taught art for the Wakefield school system and retired in 1983. She was a gifted teacher and a loving wife, mother and homemaker. After retirement she enjoyed traveling and many cruises with her husband.

In addition to her husband she is survived by a daughter, Rosemary Seeley Akin and her husband, David, of Yarmouthport, a brother Thadeus Lewis and his wife, Barbara, of Weymouth,; grandchildren Robert Akin and his wife, Kathy, of Plymouth, Danielle Akin Santoni and her husband, Shaun, of Denver, N.C., and James Seeley of Methuen; great grandchildren Shannon and Tommy Akin and Joseph, Shaun, Presleigh and Marcus Santoni, as well as daughter-in-law Barbara Seeley of Methuen and many nieces and nephews. She was the beloved mother of the late Joseph E. Seeley and sister of the late Robert Lewis.

Visiting hours will be held on Monday, February 6, from 5 — 7 p.m. at the Morris, O'Connor & Blute Funeral Home, 58 Long Pond Dr., South Yarmouth. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday Feb. 7, at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of the Highway Chapel, corner of Forest Rd. and Route 28, South Yarmouth. Burial will follow at 1:30 p.m. at Woodlawn Cemetery, 302 Elm St., Everett MA.
