Scott W. Seeley, 53, went to be with his brother, Michael, in heaven, Saturday, June 7, 2014. He was born July 22, 1960, in Glens Falls, NY. A Veteran of the United States Army. Scott married the love of his life, Cindy on August 5, 1994; also survived by his parents, Terry and Kathy Seeley of Fort Edward, NY; children, Rick (Brandi), Bryon (Ashley), and Heather; grandchildren, Jordan and Parker of Brevard County, FL as well as many family and friends. Celebration of Life and Sharing of Memories will be Saturday June 21, 2014 at Kars Park 1700 East Hall Road Merritt Island, FL at 2 pm.

MERRITT ISLAND, Florida, and FORT EDWARD — Scott William Seeley, 53, went to be with his brother, Michael, in heaven Saturday, June 7, 2014.

Born July 22, 1960, in Glens Falls, he was the son of Terry and Kathie (Wilkins) Seeley of Fort Edward.

Scott graduated from Hudson Falls High School, Class of 1978. He enlisted in the U.S. Army following high school and served many years in NATO Headquarters in Brussels, Belgium, and Afcent in Brunssum, the Netherlands. He worked up to the rank of sergeant as a counterintelligence agent. On returning to the states, he became an advocate for veterans for many years, right up until his passing.

On Aug. 5, 1994, Scott married the love of his life, Cindy. at the home of his parents in Fort Edward.

Besides his brother Michael, Scott was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Clifton and Geraldine (Wescott) Seeley; maternal grandparents, William and Ruth (Plude) Wilkins; his uncles, Gene and Thomas Seeley and William Wilkins; and his aunts, Tanis and her husband, Paul Carpentier, Adair Moss and Lupe Gonyea.

Left to cherish his memories besides his parents and wife are his children, Heather Seeley of Merritt Island, Florida, Rick and Brandi of Tampa, Florida, and Bryon and Ashley of Merritt Island, Florida; his two grandsons, Jordan and Parker; his brother-in-law, Duane Henning and his friend, Scott Williams; his aunts, Leona Seeley, Sandy Wilkins and Beverly Hall; his uncle, Tim Seeley and his wife, Maryann; and several cousins, brothers and sisters-in-law in Wisconsin.

Graveside services with military honors will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 16, 2014, at St. Paul’s Cemetery in Hudson Falls.

A celebration of Scott’s life will be held following the graveside services Saturday at Seeley’s Restaurant, 296 Broadway, Fort Edward, NY 12828.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the Hudson Falls American Legion, Pearl Street, Hudson Falls, NY 12839.
