Shon Lewis Seeley, age 29, of Troy PA passed away on Tuesday, July 24, 2012, the result of an automobile accident. Shon Lewis Seeley was born on December 25, 1982, a son of Kim and Ann Seeley, brother of Dane Seeley of Troy, PA. He was a 2001 graduate of Troy High School and a 2005 graduate of the Pennsylvania State University with a B.S. in Agricultural Science and a Minor in Agronomy. He co-founded the Penn State Sustainable Agriculture Club and was a Lifetime Member of the Pennsylvania Association for Sustainable Agriculture (PASA). While attending college, he met his future wife, Jessica Greenblatt Seeley. They were married September 17, 2006 and resided and worked on his family dairy farm, Milky Way Farms in Troy, PA. From a young age, Shon expressed a passion for both farming and sports. Many who knew him could attest to his superior sports commentating skills, whether he was watching a televised Yankees game or participating in a friendly family game of sports. Shon's talents on the farm were numerous, but in particular one could say he was best with his cows. He knew each of the 270 animals by name and personality, and while normally reserved, would wax poetic about his animals (or dogs) or sustainable farming techniques when asked. His nature was empathetic, compassionate and at times it was hard to slow him down in his quest for the perfect herd or pasture. Being a father was a calling that Shon took to with ease, and he spent countless hours with his son Jack on the farm, and was looking forward to teaching daughter Audra how to bottle-feed calves. Shon is survived by his wife Jessica and their children, Jack David and Audra Rebecca, parents Kim and Ann Seeley and brother Dane Seeley, all of Troy PA; grandmother Marie Seeley of Troy, grandpap Richard Blazek and Rose Davic of Pittsburgh, PA; aunts and uncles Dennis and Jean Seeley of East Aurora, NY, Vance and Terry Seeley of Towanda, PA, Beth and Claude Carman of Troy, Sandy Blazek of Phoenix, AZ, Richard and Ellen Blazek of Lynchburg, VA, Trish and Charles Kenny of Emsworth PA, in-laws Michael and Janet Greenblatt of Easton, PA, and Joyce and Craig Selinger of New Hempstead, NY; brother-in-law Andrew Greenblatt of Spring Valley, NY; and numerous loving cousins whom he loved and cherished. He was predeceased by his grandfather Lewis Seeley, grandmother Mary Blazek, uncle Carey Blazek, and cousin Lance Corporal Patrick Kenny. The immediate family held a private service Sunday, July 29, 2012 on the family farm in Troy, PA, officiated by Pastor William Bardo of the Troy First Presbyterian Church. Interrment will be at the Windfall Cemetery in Windfall, PA and also at the family farm. Arrangements have been completed by the Gerald W. Vickery, Jr. Funeral Home in Troy, PA. "Growing up on a farm can bring many emotions to the surface of someone's personality and character. I have experienced excitement, pain, joy, perseverance and many more challenging moments. After all of these years of being on the farm, I wouldn't change any of them. These are the many moments that mold us as human beings." from Shon's Writings. Those who wish, may kindly consider a memorial contribution to the Shon Seeley Legacy Fund for Sustainable Farming Education, mailed to PASA, P.O.
