Age 91, of Harrison Valley, died Wednesday, September 4, 2013 in the Bath VA Medical Center, Bath, NY, where he resided for the last four years and received excellent care in the third floor nursing home. Born January 25, 1922, in Tioga, PA, he was the son of Elmer and Lelia Barber Seeley.

A World War II Veteran, he served honorably with the US Army in the European Theatre and was awarded two Purple Heart for wounds received in combat. Mr. Seeley owned and operated a dairy farm at Whites Corners for many years. He was active in Westfield bowling leagues and was an avid hunter.

Surviving are a son, Larry E. (Marie) Seeley of Belmont, NY; three grandsons, Larry G. Seeley, Christopher (Jessie) Seeley and Stephen (Lisa) Seeley; two granddaughters, Tracy L. (Dale) Gleason and Kathryn Weeks; several great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son, William Seeley, Jr.; three grandsons, Kevin Seeley, Mark W. Seeley and Scott A. Seeley; a great-grandson, Bryton Seeley; a brother, Elmer; and seven sisters, Laura Robinson, Louise Dixon, Madilyn Wallen, Dewella Plaski, Bessie Seeley, Carrie Seeley and Mary Wales.

Friends may call at the Olney Funeral Home & Cremation Service on Sunday, September 8, 2013 from 2:00-4:00 PM, with Funeral Services following at 4:00 PM. Rev. Duane Burdick will officiate. Military Rites will be accorded by members of the Potter County Honor Guard. Burial will be in Whites Corners Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Tri-Town Volunteer Ambulance, Ulysses, PA 16848.
