Wilma M. Tvrdy Seeley, 85, of Nevada, MO, formerly of Warrensburg, died Nov. 18, 2008, at her daughter's home in Nevada. She was born May 28, 1923 in Omaha, NE, the daughter of William and Mary Sitera Tvrdy.

On Feb. 23, 1946 in Salina, KS, she married Dr. Robert Dewain Seeley. He preceded her in death on Jan. 22, 2000.

Mrs. Seeley was a 1941 graduate of Central High School, Omaha, and received a diploma in secretarial training from the Van Sants College of Business in Omaha.

She attended Wayne State University in Detroit, MI in 1958-59, and the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque in 1963-64.

Mrs. Seeley worked in administrative positions at Production Credit Corp. in Omaha and the University of Omaha; Paul McBride Advertising in Enid, OK; Celanese Corp. of America in Bishop, TX; Chevrolet Gear and Axle in Detroit, MI. She worked from 1973 to 1989 as a medical administrative assistant for Dr. M. Wayne Reynolds in Warrensburg, MO. She also worked for DeBacker's Flower Shop in Warrensburg for two years.

She was a church pianist, PTA member, assistant Girl Scout leader, member of the Pioneer and Country Cheer garden clubs and the CMSU Faculty Wives.

She attended the Harmony Baptist Church in Leeton, MO.

Survivors include a son, Robert Patrick Seeley of Lee's Summit; two daughters, Nancy Seeley of Nevada, MO, and Susan Lynn Iwata, of Tenri, Japan; a sister, Marian Slavik; and seven grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at Sweeney-Phillips & Holdren Funeral Home in Warrensburg on Thursday to service time. Funeral services will be Nov. 20, at the funeral home, with the Rev. Ray Haught officiating. Burial will be Thursday in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Higginsville.
