BRIGHAM CITY, Jan. 19 – Mrs. Alfaretta Neff Seeley, 70, died Tuesday at four a.m. in a local hospital following a heart attack.
Mrs. Seeley was born Jan. 16, 1873, in East Mill Creek, Utah, a daughter of Franklin and Frances Stillman Neff. She was married to Arta M. Seely, May 3, 1899, in the Salt Lake L.D.S. temple. She lived in East Mill Creek until 1912, when she moved with her husband and family to western Box Elder county.
In the Rosette L.D.S. ward, Mrs. Seeley served as president of the Relief society and Primary organization; also as an officer in the Sunday school and M.I.A.
Mrs. Seeley had live in Brigham City for the past 15 years, where she has been a visiting teacher in the Third ward Relief society and a member of the Seagull camp of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers.
Survivors are her husband, three sons, A. Elwin Seeley, N. Leland Seeley, of Brigham City, Grant M. Seeley, of Ogden; two daughters, Mrs. Verna M. Carter, Park Valley; Mrs. Leola S. Anderson, of Ogden; two sisters, Mrs. R.P. Fisher, of Salt Lake; Mrs. Frank Sharp, of Lyman, Idaho, and 18 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday at two p.m. in the Brigham City Third ward chapel by Bishop W.H. Stayner. Friends may call at the Harold B. Felt funeral home, Thursday until five p.m., and at the family home, 115 North Fourth West, Thursday evening and Friday until time of services. Interment will be in the Brigham City cemetery.
