Alice L. Seeley, 92, of Roanoke, Va., passed away on Thursday, October 25, 2007. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde R. Seeley; a sister and brother-in-law, Jane and Paul Smith; brother-in-law, Dr. Lincoln Wadsworth; sister-in-law, Elizabeth Myhr; and a brother-in-law, William Seeley. Mrs. Seeley was a member of Huntington Court United Methodist Church, the Philathea-Mizpah Sunday School Class and the United Methodist Women. She was a graduate of Drake University. Surviving are her two daughters, Kathryn A. Seeley of Roanoke and Karen S. Barr of Salem; two grandsons, Eric S. Barr and Christopher S. Barr and wife, Lisa; three greatgrandchildren, Zachary Barr, Taylor Barr and Connor Barr, all of Salem; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Juanita Wadsworth of Landsdale, Pa. and Harriet and Frederick Stewart of Des Moines, Iowa; brother-in-law, Derwin Myhr and wife, Eleanor, of Anacortes, Wash.; and numerous nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate gifts given to The Clyde R. Seeley Scholarship Fund, Ferrum College, Ferrum, Va. 24088 or Huntington Court United Methodist Church (The Van Fund), P.O. Box 5066, Roanoke, Va. 24012. A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, October 29, 2007 in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. The Rev. Russell Cheatham will officiate. The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, October 28, 2007 at Oakey's North Chapel, 540-362-1237.
