LANSING, Iowa - Anna M. Seeley, 79, of Lansing died Friday evening, Jan. 10, 2003, at Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center, La Crosse. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Lansing. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery, Lansing. Friends may call from 3 to 7 p.m. today at the Thornburg Hanson Funeral Home in Lansing.

Anna M. Seeley, age 79 of Lansing, died Friday evening, January 10, 2003, at Gundersen Lutheran Hospital in La Crosse, Wis. Funeral services were held Monday, January 13, 2003, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Lansing with Msgr. Edward Lechtenberg officiating. Burial was in Gethsemane Cemetery, Lansing. Thornburg-Hanson Funeral Home in Lansing assisted the family with arrangements.

Anna was born in Wexford September 23, 1923, to John and Ellen (Donahue) Manning.

Anna was married to James W. Seeley on August 17, 1948, at Immaculate Conception Church.

Anna had worked at the Lansing Button factory for 40 years, retiring in 1988. She was also a waitress at Clancy's Supper Club for 39 years, retiring in August of 2002. She was a member of the Lansing VFW Ladies Auxiliary.

Anna is survived by three children, Martin (Barbara) Seeley of San Diego, Calif., Robert Seeley of Lansing, and Julee Seeley of Lansing; three grandchildren; and two sisters, Ella Sweeney of Waterloo, Iowa, and Peg Hingtgen of Dubuque, Iowa.

She was preceded in death by her husband James on September 4, 1960, and four brothers, Cyril, Bill, Dick, and Jerry.

Casket bearers were Don Manning, Ron Manning, Pat Sweeney, Craig Hingtgen, Gary Sweeney, and Bruce Manning.
