Anthony W. "Andy" Seeley

Schroon Lake - Anthony W. "Andy" Seeley, 42, died late Tuesday evening, April 27, 2004, at his home at 164 Alder Meadow Road, after an extended and brave battle with cancer.

Andy was born March 19, 1962, in Elizabethtown, N.Y., the son of Richard N. and Lena (McCoy) Seeley Sr.

Andy was a graduate of Schroon Lake Central School and served in the U.S. Air Force from 1981 to 1985. Andy was the owner of Seeley’s Bait and Tackle Shop at his home since 1997. He was a building contractor for several years, was a dealer for water pumps and worked for several area contractors over the years.

Andy loved the outdoors and enjoyed fishing, hunting, trapping and boating; he was a registered guide for several years. Andy truly enjoyed golf, especially the Chesterton Men’s League and playing in the Best Ball golf tournaments around the North Country. He loved everyone and everything, especially his children, his family and his many friends.

In addition to his parents, survivors include his wife of 19 years, Veronica (Wholecheese) Seeley of Schroon Lake; four daughters, Margaret Baranoff of Plattsburgh, Andrea Lynn, Bella Marie and Celena Jean Seeley, all of Schroon Lake; his brothers, Richard N. Seeley Jr., stationed with the U.S. Air Force in San Antonio, Texas, and Clarence L. Seeley of Malta, N.Y.; three nephews; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Friends may call at the Edward L. Kelly Funeral Home, Schroon Lake, on Saturday from 2:30 until 5 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday afternoon at 5 p.m. at the funeral home. Cremation will follow.
