Dr. Seeley Dies After Long Illness

Dr. Arlington J. Seeley, Sr., of Sitterley Road in Halfmoon, who maintained a chiropractic practice in Troy for 57 years, died Thursday at his residence after a long illness.

The son of the late James H. and Margaret Armstrong Seeley, he was a native of Isabelle County, Mich. He was educated in the Ferris Institute, graduated from Michigan College of Chiropratic, Grand Rapids, Mich, and did graduate work at Universal College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa.

Dr. Seeley opened his practice in Troy in 1913, retiring in 1970. He resided in Round Lake from 1919 until last year when he moved to Halfmoon. He was the widower of Ruth Fargo.

Dr. Seeley was a member of the Church of God, Anderson, Ind.; the New York State Chiropractic Association, and the American Chiropractic Association.

Survivors include one son, Dr. A. James Seeley Jr. of Troy; one daughter, Miss Evelyn M. Seeley of Halfmoon; two sisters, Dr. Ruth Seeley Beck of Pompano Beach, Fla., and Mrs. Orletta Hildebrandt of Mountainside, N.J.; one brother, Floyd A. Seeley of St. Louis, Mich.; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Seeley, St. Louis, Mich.; grandfather of Mrs. Arlene Pack, Elnora, and Mrs. Majel Ann Craft, Ballston Spa. Also survived by one great-grandson.

Funeral services from the Bowen Funeral Home, 97 Old Loudon Rd., Latham, Monday morning at 11 o’clock.

Friends are invited and may call Sunday 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 a.m.

Rites Held For Dr. Seeley Of Halfmoon

The funeral of Dr. Arlington J. Seeley Sr. of Sitterly Road, Halfmoon, was held this morning, from the Bowen Funeral Home, Latham, with Rev. Kenneth Babcock of the Church of the Nazarene of Albany, officiating.

Bearers were Howard Pack, Allan Craft, Richard Gorsline, Gerald Morris, Lawrence DeVoe, and Dr. Vernon Rader. Interment was in the Dunning Street Rural Cemetery, Malta, where Mr. Babcock officiated.
