Arthur Seeley

Arthur Seeley, 77, of Boothbay Harbor and Ft. Pierce, Florida, died Friday, February 22 at the Maine Veterans Home in Augusta.

Born in Natick, Mass. on July 10, 1924, he was the son of Arthur and Isabel O'Leary Seeley. He was employed by Bowey's Inc. in the fruits and flavors industry until he formed his own company, Seeley Sales.

Mr. Seeley lived in Syracuse, New York. Upon retirement in November of 1985, he moved to Boothbay Harbor and Ft. Pierce, Fla. He had enjoyed vacationing here for many years.

Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Catherine Riemer Seeley; one son, Robert Seeley; and daughter-in-law, Maren Herman of Ithica, New York; two sisters, Isabel Hubbard of Reading, Mass., and Muriel Hyden of Maynard, Mass.; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held in the spring.

Arrangements are under the direction of Simmons, Harrington & Hall Funeral Home in Boothbay.

Memorial Service

A memorial service for Arthur Seeley, who passed away on February 22, 2002, will be held on Saturday, May 11 at 11 a.m. at the St. Columba's Episcopal Church. The church is located at the Railway Village in Boothbay.
