GLENS FALLS -- Brian K. Seeley, 49, of West Notre Dame Street, Glens Falls, passed away Thursday, Nov.6, 2008, at Glens Falls Hospital in the loving arms of his wife, surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Glens Falls, N.Y., he was the beloved son of Robert and Lucille (Laferriere) Seeley.

After graduating from Queensbury High School in 1978, Brian enlisted in the U.S. Navy serving his country from July of 1978 and being honorably discharged July of 1981.

On Oct. 10, 1998, Brian married the love of his life, Lillian.

For many years Brian tended bar at Peter's Pub on Maple Street, Glens Falls, and most recently worked as a custodian at the Glens Falls City School.

Brian loved being home and working around on the house, which he took a lot of pride in. He had a very big heart and would do anything for anybody. All who knew him, loved him. He loved being "Grandpa" and enjoyed the family life.

Survivors include his loving wife, Lillian Seeley of Glens Falls; his beloved parents Robert and Lucille Seeley of Queensbury; two brothers Bruce Seeley of Glens Falls, and Billy Jo Seeley and his wife, Noreen, of Kings Park, Long Island; one step-daughter Amy Germain and her husband, John, of Thurman; one step-son Mike Baker and his companion, Sarah, of Warrensburg; two grandchildren, Hunter and Carter Germain of Thurman; nieces and nephews, Shelby, Lucas, Erin, Kelly, and Kolbi Seeley; his Aunt Shirley and Uncle Fred Horstman of Queensbury; many cousins; and his best friends, Tommy Leonbruno of Florida and Jeremy Gibson of Queensbury.

Friends may call upon the family today, Nov. 9, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Maynard D. Baker Funeral Home, 11 Lafayette St., Queensbury.

Funeral services will be held Monday, Nov. 10, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Deacon William Bazinet of St. Alphonsus Church officiating.

Burial, with military honors, will follow at Gerald B. H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Duell Road, Schuylerville.

Friends are invited to join the family for a gathering at the VFW Post No. 6196 on Luzerne Road in Queensbury.

Donations may be made to the Glens Falls City School District, 10 Quade St., Glens Falls, NY 12801 for a scholarship in loving memory of Brian.

The family would like to thank Dr. Sponzo, Jean Vanuken, nurses and staff at the C. R. Wood Cancer Center and Tower Two for the compassionate and wonderful care they provided.
