Burton R. Seeley, 78, of Titusville, RD 2, died at 5:30 a.m. Monday, Dec. 27, 1982 in the Titusville, Hospital, following an extended illness.

Mr. Seeley was born at Neilltown, Oct. 20, 1904, the son of the late Robert and Addie Faunce Seeley.

He was married to the former Blanche Wright, Oct. 4, 1924, at Titusville.

Mr. Seeley was employed by the Quaker State Refinery for 37 years and worked in various jobs in the oil fields prior to his retirement, he was a pumper.

He retired in 1967.

He is survived by his wife and the following children: Mrs. Stella Millard of Guys Mills, RD 2, Mrs. Arthur (Marion) Paden of Grand Valley, Mrs. Fred (Daisy) Jones of Titusville, RD 2, Mrs. Theodore (Margaret) Wakefield of Titusville, Burton Seeley Jr. of Grand Valley, RD 1, Mrs. Cedrick (Phyllis) Keyes of Titusville, Robert Seeley of Pleasantville, Jack Seeley of Grand Valley, RD 1, Mrs. Alfred (Nina) Mitchell of Spartanburg, Richard Seeley of Pleasantville, Mrs. Michael (Ann) Cartney of Titusville, Mrs. Joseph (Charlotte) Gustafson of Saegertown, Harold Seeley of Townville, Mrs. Martin (Virginia) Hubert of Centerville, Donald Seeley of Corry, RD 3, Mrs. Thelma Postalewait of Erie, Mrs. Robert (Alta) Webber of Meadville, Miss Marilyn Seeley of Erie, Mrs. Steven (Shirley) Beers of Titusville, Mrs. Jerry (Gloria) Van Tassel of Corry, SSG Herbert Seeley with the U.S. Army in Germany, Mrs. Richard (Alice) Jones of Titusville, RD 2; eighty six grandchildren; 60 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchildren. One grandson, one great-granddaughter and two sisters died previously.

Friends may call at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and attend the funeral service there Wednesday at 10 a.m. with Rev. Dillon Vroman, pastor of the Chapmanville Community Church officiating. Interment will be in the Sanford Cemetery, Eldred Township, Warren County.

The funeral service for Burton R. Seeley was conducted from the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home at 10 a.m. Wednesday with Rev. Dillon Vroman, pastor of the Chapmanville Community Church, officiating.

Interment was in the Sanford Cemetery, Warren County, with the following grandsons serving as pallbearers: William Millard, Donald Seeley, Kenneth Seeley, Richard Seeley Jr., Truman BIngman and Fred Jones Jr.

Relatives attending from out of town were: Mr. and Mrs. Jack Seeley, John Seeley, Mr. and Mrs. Burton Seeley Jr., James Seeley, Miss Diane Seeley of Grand Valley, RD 1; S.S.G. and Mrs. Herbert Seeley of the U.S. Army stationed in Germany; Mrs. Stella Millard of Guys Mills, RD 2; Mrs. William Millard of Townville; Mrs. Pat Tracy of Cleveland, O.; Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Paden and Betsy Paden and Jan Paden of Grand Valley; Mr. and Mrs. Robert Seeley and Mark Seeley, Pam Seeley of Pleasantville; Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Mitchell of Spartansburg; Mr. and Mrs. Mike Cartney of Ventura, Calif.; Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Gustafson, Robert Gustafson and Joseph Gustafson of Saegertown; Mr. and Mrs. Martin Hubert, Mr. and Mrs. Martin Hubert Jr., Mrs. Mary Hubert all of Centerville; Mr. and Mrs. Richard Seeley and Richard Seeley Jr. of Pleasantville; Mr. and Mrs. Harold Seeley, Melinda, Ramona and Brady Seeley of Townville; Mr. and Mrs. Donald Seeley, Kenneth and Angela Seeley of Corry, RD 3; Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Van Tassel and Jerry Van Tassel Jr. of Corry; Mr. and Mrs. Robert Webber, Jason, Melissa, Rebecca, Vicky and Robert Webber Jr. of Meadville; Mrs. Thelma Postalewait, Laurie Postalewait, Miss Marily Seeley and Mrs. Amelia Morris of Erie.

There were also relatives and friends of Titusville, Corry, Tionesta and Pleasantville attending.
