Charles Edward Seeley

Chula Vista, Calif. – A former Clark County resident, Charles Edward Seeley, died April 1, 2003, in a hospice care center in San Diego. He was 68.

After Mr. Seeley graduated from Vancouver High School in 1953, he joined the Navy. He served for 24 years and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. After he retired from the Navy, he worked as a cab driver until his health forced him to retire.

Mr. Seeley loved baseball and was a fan of the San Diego Padres.

His wife, Dorothy M., died in April 2001.

Survivors include one daughter, Loretta Coffman of Lexington, Tenn., and two grandchildren.

There was a memorial service at the Highland Avenue Baptist Church in National City, Calif. His ashes will be buried in Park Hill Cemetery in Vancouver.

Charles Edward "Chuck" Seeley, 68, of Chula Vista died Tuesday. He was born in Washington state and was a retired Navy engine mechanic. He was a member of Highland Avenue Baptist Church.

Survivors include his daughter, Loretta Coffman of Lexington, Tenn.; and two grandchildren.

Services: 10 a.m. tomorrow, Highland Avenue Baptist Church, 2605 Highland Ave., National City.

Donations: Highland Avenue Baptist Church, 2605 Highland Ave., National City, CA 91950.

Arrangements: National Cremation Service.
