Charles M. Seeley

Constantine, July 12 – Charles M. Seeley, 77, died last night about twelve o’clock at his home on N. Washington street. He had suffered heart trouble for about nine months.

Born in Fabius township, January 21, 1867, he was a son of Clark and Dolly (Beadle) Seeley. His entire life was spent in Fabius township and in Constantine.

He was united in marriage to Clarisa Jane Corner, June 1892, who preceded him in death in June 1910. He married Judith Wulff on November 29, 1929 whose death occurred in 1941.

Mr. Seeley was a lover of horses from his early boyhood and until recently had fine saddle horses in his stables. He has owned a large farm north of Constantine and for a number of years held offices in Fabius township. For a number of years he was a clerk in the Three Rivers Post Office. He was a member of the Constantine Grange.

He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Leslie Slote, Constantine, R.R.; two sons, Arthur L. Seeley, Fabius township and Donald A. Seeley, Chicago; nephews and nieces. Two daughters died in infancy.

Services will be held Friday afternoon at four o’clock in the Geisler Funeral home, with Rev. H.G. Beeman officiating. Burial will be made in Riverside Cemetery, Three Rivers.
