YORK Charles R. Seeley, Jr., 93, died Sunday, April 4, 2010, at the York Hospital. He was the husband of B. Jane (Koch) Seeley who passed on June 8, 2009, and of the late Mary (Fishel) Seeley. Mr. Seeley was employed 18 years with H.M. Stauffer & Sons in Leola. Prior he was employed 15 years with Union Roofing & Paper Co. in York. Charles was a WWII veteran having served in the air corp. He was a member of Union Lutheran Church. He was a graduate of William Penn High School Class of 1934 and a graduate of Penn State College Class of 1938. Charles was a life member of VFW Post 8951, a member of Penn State Alumni Assoc. and Phi Delta Theta, and a former member of West York Rotary. Born in Milton, on March 17, 1917, he was the son of the late Charles R. Seeley, Sr. and Ethel G. (Hendershot) Seeley. Charles is survived by a daughter, Marsha Linden of York; two grandsons, Kevin Linden and his wife, Janine, and Christopher Linden and his wife, Michelle; and six great-grandchildren. Viewing will be 9 to 10 a.m. on Thursday at the Village at Sprenkle Drive, 1801 Folkemer Drive in York. The service will immediately follow at 10 a.m. Officiating will be the Reverend Judith McKee and the Reverend Gustaf Steinhilber. Burial will be in Mount Rose Cemetery.
