Steve "Too Tall" Seeley, age 60

Steve "Too Tall" Seeley, age 60, passed away Sunday, May 22, 2011 at Regional West Medical Center in Scottsbluff, Nebraska with family by his side.

Charles Steven Seeley was born March 21, 1951 in Princeton, Missouri to Lee and Betty (Stocklos) Seeley.

His family moved to Fairbury, Nebraska where he grew up and graduated from high school. He entered the United States Navy after graduation where he served with honors in the Vietnam War and was discharged with honors after eight years of service.

He began his career for the Rock Island Railroad and immediately relocated to Alliance in 1978 to begin a 27 year career for the Burlington Northern Railroad. He met his wife of 30 years, Colleen Ritter and was married on October 31, 1980. This union brought the birth of one daughter, Briana. She currently resides in Omaha, Nebraska. He also has one daughter from a previous marriage, Emma, who resides in California.

He is survived by his wife Colleen Seeley of Alliance; his daughter and son-in-law, Briana and Joshua Rock of Omaha and their children, Hunter and Karson; daughter and son-in-law, Emma and Junior Acosta of San Diego, California and their children, Christopher, Alex, and Alexis. He is also survived by his brother, Rick Seeley of Steele City, Nebraska; his sister, Debbie Tourner of Aurora, Nebraska; his sister-in-law, Linda Seeley of Jansen, Nebraska; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother Allen Seeley.

His passion for life was riding his Harley with his many "brothers". He lived to ride and rode to live. He was a member of the Road Motorcycle Club. He will be missed by many but never forgotten. His favorite quote was, "If you can't ride with the big dogs, stay on the porch!"

Graveside services will be held Friday, May 27, 2011 at 4:00 p.m. at the Nebraska Veterans Cemetery at Alliance. Kelly Tockey will officiate.
