C.W. Seeley dies, ad firm executive

Charles W. Seeley, 84, of 377 W. Onondaga St., a special representative in Syracuse of the Vernon Advertising Co., the last 25 years, died yesterday in St. Joseph’s Hospital.

Mr. Seeley formerly was associated with the J. Walter Thompson and Patterson Andrew Advertising Co. in New York City. Earlier he served as assistant advertising manager of the H.H. Franklin Co., automobile manufacturers.

He was a 1913 graduate of Syracuse University, and was graduated from its College of Law in 1914.

He was a member of Delta Chi fraternity and was a 50-year member of the Onondaga County Bar Association.

He was a member of the First Baptist Church. Mr. Seeley was a 32nd degree Mason and a member of Central City Masonic Lodge 305. He also was a member of the Syracuse Scottish Rite Bodies, the Masonic Temple Club and the Musicians Union.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Ethel Clark Seeley, and a sister, Mrs. Burt Entz of Williamsport, Pa.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the Whelan Bros. Funeral Home. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Calling hours will be 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow.

Services will be Monday 11 AM at Whelan Bros, Funeral Home, the Rec. Dr. Randolph B. Hellwig officiating. Interment Woodlawn Cemetery. Friends may call at 366 W. Onondaga St. Sunday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M.
