SPOKANE – Clara E. Seeley, 42, a former Ellensburg resident, died Friday following an automobile accident near Spokane.

She was born in Ellensburg Sept. 24, 1938, a daughter of Chester and Sybil Seeley. She graduated from Central Washington University in 1960 and taught at Marysville Junior High School for three years.

After receiving a master of arts degree in librarianship from the University of Washington, she was elementary librarian at Oroville for six years and high school librarian in Spokane for one year. At the time of her death she was employed as an educational research assistant for the Spokane School District.

She was a member of the Oroville Methodist Church; Grace Chapter No. 105, Order of Eastern Star; Daughters of the American Revolution and the CWU Alumni Association.

Survivors include a sister and brother-in-law, Margaret and Jim Woodey, and a niece, Helen Elizabeth Woodey, all of (Illegible) B.C.
