ONEONTA _ Clara F. Seeley, 87, of Oneonta, passed away Saturday, Oct. 17, 2009, at the Oneonta Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.

She was born Jan. 27, 1922, in Walton, the daughter of the late William and Lena (Nichols) Finch.

On March 3, 1945, Clara married Reginald Seeley in Walton. Together Clara and Reginald owned and operated a dairy farm in Walton. Then they moved to East Meredith and bought another farm that they farmed until their retirement in 1991.

Clara loved tending to her flowers and her garden.

She attended the First Baptist Church of Oneonta and also the West Davenport Baptist Church.

Clara is survived by her husband, Reginald Seeley, of Oneonta; her two children, Cheryl Seeley of Oakland, Calif., and Terry Seeley and his wife, Ann Marie of East Meredith; three grandchildren, Joanne Seeley, Janine Roode and her husband, Brian and Kimberly Tilley and her husband, Russ; and five great-grandchildren, Bradley Seeley, Terri Bonnie, Hannah Tilley, Kathrin Tilley and Lucy Roode.

Calling hours will be from 11 a.m. to noon Saturday, Oct. 24, 2009, in the Bookhout Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oneonta. Memorial services will be held at noon with the Rev. Nancy Russell, pastor of the West Davenport Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will follow in the Walton Cemetery.

Memorial donation's in Clara's name may be made to either the West Davenport Baptist Church, West Davenport, NY 13860 or to the West Davenport Methodist Church, West Davenport, NY 13860.
