SEELEY – Clarence E. Seeley, 66, of R.1, Vinton Road, Williamsburg, died Tuesday morning at Traverse City Osteopathic Hospital after a lengthy illness. The son of Damon and Lucy (Stites) Seeley, he was born at Williamsburg on May 5, 1908, and was a Williamsburg resident all his life. He married the former Georgia Oliver at Williamsburg on Nov. 22, 1934. Mr. Seeley owned and operated Seeley’s garage in Williamsburg and enjoyed baseball and deer hunting as hobbies. He was preceded in death by his father, Damon Seeley: and two brothers, Robert and Wennie. Surviving are his wife, Georgia Seeley; his mother, Mrs. Lucy Seeley of Williamsburg; a daughter, Mrs. Alexander (Sandra) Davey and son, Everett, both of Williamsburg; five grandchildren: and a sister, Mrs. DeVere Van Stee of Boulder, Colo. The funeral is scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday at Dockery-Wilhelm-Smith Funeral Home, Elk Rapids, with the Rev. Wilson Tennant officiating. Burial will be in Williamsburg Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home today from 1-9 p.m. and Thursday from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. Memorials may be directed to the American Cancer Society; envelopes may be obtained at the funeral home.
