BUCKSPORT – Cleo L. “Pat” Seeley, 82, died Sept. 18, 2001, at Maine Veteran’s Home, Bangor. He was born April 1, 1919, in Stratton, the son of Webster and Elsie (Hinds) Seeley. He was a veteran of World War II, serving with the U.S. Army, 70th Engineers. He returned to Stratton in 1977 and moved to Bucksport in 1999, where he enjoyed repairing old bicycles and giving them to the children in town. His wife, Rose (McAloan) Seeley, predeceased him in 2000. He is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Margaret and William Braniff of Busksport, Eileen and James White of Coatesville, Pa., Michelle and Keith Finley of Worth County, Ga.; five grandchildren, Jennifer, Michael and Kate Braniff, Patrick (Jennifer) and David White; three great-grandchildren, three sisters, Helen Townsend of Stratton, Olive Simms (Robert) of Natick, Mass., and Angie Campbell of Uxbridge, Mass.; one brother, Keith Seeley of Farmington; and dear friend, Genevra Chute of Bucksport. He was predeceased by three brothers, Arthur and Clyde Hobbs and Edward Seeley; and one sister, Vera Reed. A memorial service will be held 1 p.m. Friday, Sept. 21, at Mitchell-Tweedie Funeral Home, 14 Elm St, Bucksport.
